Asthma
Asthma is a complex disorder and its treatment must be tailored to the specific factors involving each individual. Such factors include the severity of the problem, the response (or lack of response) to treatment as determined by measurements of breathing capacity, triggers that set off or aggravate an attack, and environmental exposure to allergens or irritants. Hence, decisions concerning new treatments should be made in close consultation between the patient and his or her personal physician or allergist.
