Distance Vision and Conductive Keratoplasty

LASIK

I could always see well without glasses, but now I can’t see up close and even my distance vision is a little decreased. Is there anything besides LASIK to help my vision?

That’s a timely question. We are now offering a procedure newly-approved by the FDA. It is the first non-laser procedure for the treatment of farsightedness. For the 60 million farsighted Americans who have difficulty reading menus, a computer screen and seeing to drive at night, CKSM (Conductive Keratoplasty) represents a safe, minimally invasive option for treating their vision. CK uses the controlled release of RF energy, instead of laser energy, to gently reshape the cornea. CK is popular because it is performed without the cutting or removal of tissue. This new no-cut procedure could mean the end of eye fatigue at the end of the day or when reading in poor lighting.
